SCC 5 aims to maintain the speed specified by you, the driver, and computes the relative position and speed of the vehicle ahead using its front view camera and front radar to keep a safe distance. The system controls acceleration and deceleration to make sure your Kia XCeed keeps always the safety distance from the vehicle ahead. Your Kia XCeed stops when the other vehicle ahead stops. When the vehicle ahead starts moving again, you will be able to start moving again by pressing the throttle pedal or the button on the steering wheel.
The Lane Following Assist (LFA) 6 system utilizes the windshield camera in order to monitor lane markings or the leading vehicle to make sure your XCeed remains centred in your lane.
The system notices if you’re losing concentration by monitoring the pattern of the steering wheel, acceleration and overall length of the journey. If your attention level seems low, it alerts you both visually and audibly. Driver Attention Warning + (DAW+) also features a leading vehicle departure warning system that will alert you too if, for example, when in traffic, the car in front of you drives away and you don’t move.
Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) with pedestrian warning 7 uses radar and camera inputs to warn of pedestrians, cyclists and cars in your path. It gives you warning signals and automatically brakes if you don't react, helping to prevent or mitigate an accident.
The Intelligent front lighting system senses the vehicles around your car and automatically controls the high beam function to provide the best possible visibility – crucially, without blinding other road users.

Each new Kia vehicle that's factory-fitted with a navigation device is entitled to six free annual map updates 8, 9 . A unique offer that ensures your navigation system is always up-to-date.
Kia high voltage lithium ion battery-units in electric vehicles (EV), hybrid electric vehicles (HEV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) are built to have a long life. These batteries are covered by the KIA warranty for a period of 7 years from initial registration or 150,000 km, whichever comes first. For low voltage batteries (48V and 12V) in mild-hybrid electric vehicles (MHEV), the Kia warranty covers a period of 2 years from initial registration regardless of mileage. For EVs and PHEVs only, Kia guarantees a 70% capacity of the battery. Capacity reduction of the battery in HEV and MHEV is not covered by the warranty. Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) is an assistance system and does not relieve the driver from his/her responsibility to safely operate the vehicle at any time. The driver still has to adapt his/her driving behaviour to his/her personal driving capabilities, to the legal requirements and to the overall road and traffic conditions. FCA is not designed to drive the vehicle autonomously. For further information, please refer to the owner’s manual.
The program is only valid for new Kia vehicles purchased after February 28, 2013 with factory installed LG navigation devices. Labour costs may be incurred at the service point for the time available to perform the update. The 7-year map update program offers six map updates, as Kia vehicles are already shipped ex works with the latest map available. The warranty of the navigation system is not affected by this program. Kia is not responsible for the quality of the card data supplied by the card data supplier HERE.
For new vehicles sold from May 2021, Kia offers, per vehicle, two free-of-charge updates of the maps in the vehicle’s navigation system and of the Head Unit software using the so-called “over-the-air” method (“OTA Updates”). Once the two free-of-charge OTA Updates have been consumed, you will be able to get free-of-charge updates of the maps in the vehicle’s navigation system and of the Head Unit software only (i) by accessing the following web page https://update.kia.com/EU/E1/Main or (ii) at a dealership.
