Make highway driving a breeze
Designed for effortless driving on motorways, HDA automatically maintains the Niro EV's distance to another vehicle in front as well as keeping it centred in its current lane on the highway. At the same time, it controls steering, acceleration and deceleration while you are in-lane.

React faster to potential hazards
Evaluating both camera and radar data from your Niro EV, the system analyses information about other cars, pedestrians or cyclists crossing the road to avoid a potential collision with them. FCA 1.5 6 also functions to prevent collisions with vehicles when turning at a junction or making a right turn at a junction. If it detects a potential collision, a warning signal appears on your instrument cluster and maximum braking power is applied.

Eyes everywhere - avoid unpleasant surprises
This system provides audible and visual warning of any vehicles in your blind spot area, and actively controls the vehicle to help avoid a collision. Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA) provides the same assistance while in reverse, if vehicles are approaching from the left or right.

Convenient manoeuvring, even from outside your Niro
With this system you can manoeuvre in or out of a parking space even if you aren’t in the car - perfect for tight parking spaces. Using your key, you can safely move the vehicle in a straight line, into or out of a space. Your Niro will automatically brake if it detects an obstacle.

Kia Connect On-Board Services & Live Services
Access all the information you need for your trip.(3) Navigate the fastest route to any destination with real-time traffic data, including constantly updated adjustments and estimated arrival time. Using Kia Connect Services,(2) check parking availability, points of interest and charging stations - and keep an eye on the weather. Kia Connect also lets you use voice commands - like searching for a destination - so you get to the right destination with the least fuss.

Interactive Kia Connect App
Use the Kia Connect app (2) even when you're not in your car to save time and keep yourself connected. Going to an unfamiliar place? Set your destination in advance and send it to your car, or schedule charging sessions so your Niro EV is ready when you need it. Once parked, let Last-Mile Navigation guide you to your final destination. Tap the Find My Car function to search for your car when you return. If someone else is driving your car, the Valet Parking function lets you keep an eye on your Niro EV’s location and driving stats.

Head-Up Display
Everything you need to know, right in your line of sight. The Head-Up Display in the Niro EV projects driver-related information onto your windscreen and superimposes turn instructions from the navigation system over the roads ahead. It also lets you know if you’re drifting out of your lane and highlights vehicles ahead of you.

Fast charging throughout the cabin
Make sure all your devices are always fully charged. Simply place your smartphone on the charging pad 5 at the front of the centre console for convenient, cable-free charging (up to 15W). For those with a charging cable to hand, there are fast USB charging and seat-mounted USB-C ports throughout for all passengers to use.

1 7 Year Warranty
Kia high voltage lithium ion battery-units in electric vehicles (EV), hybrid electric vehicles (HEV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) are built to have a long life. These batteries are covered by the KIA warranty for a period of 7 years from initial registration or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. For low voltage batteries (48V and 12V) in mild-hybrid electric vehicles (MHEV), the Kia warranty covers a period of 2 years from initial registration regardless of mileage. For EVs and PHEVs only, Kia guarantees a 70% capacity of the battery. Capacity reduction of the battery in HEV and MHEV is not covered by the warranty. To minimize possible capacity reduction, consult the owner's manual. Kia warranty covers a period of 7 years from initial registration or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. 2 Kia Connect Services
The services are available free of charge for a period of seven years commencing on the day the vehicle is sold to the first owner of the vehicle, i.e. the point in time the initial purchase agreement becomes effective, and may be subject to change during that period. Details of operation and terms of use can be obtained on your vehicle’s head unit. Available On-Board Services might differ depending on your country. Smartphone with data plan required to activate Kia Connect Live Services services in countries and models without embedded telematics.
3 Kia Connect On-Board Services
Information and control service for your Kia from your smartphone; the Services are available free of charge for a period of seven years commencing on the day the vehicle is sold to the first owner of the vehicle, i.e. the point in time the initial purchase agreement becomes effective, and may be subject to change during that period. Details of operation and terms of use can be obtained on your Kia Connect App. Smartphone with iOS or Android operating system and mobile phone contract with data option necessary incurring additional cost.
4 Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay™
The Kia Niro is compatible with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™. Android Auto™ is designed to work with Android phones running 5.0 (Lollipop) or higher. Apple CarPlay™ is available for iPhone 5 or newer models. Both systems feature voice control and allow the driver to keep their hands on the wheel and eyes on the road ahead at all times. Apple CarPlay™ is a trademark of Apple Inc. Android Auto™ and other marks are trademarks of Google Inc.
5 Wireless Phone Charger
Wireless charging compatible with phones featuring Qi technology or a Qi adapter.
6 Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist
Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) is an assistance system and does not relieve the driver from their responsibility to safely operate the vehicle at any time. The driver still has to adapt their driving behaviour to their personal driving capabilities, to the legal requirements and to the overall road and traffic conditions. FCA is not designed to drive the vehicle autonomously. For further information, please refer to the owner’s manual.

(2) Over-the-Air updates
For new vehicles sold from May 2021, Kia offers, per vehicle, two free-of-charge updates of the maps in the vehicle’s navigation system and of the Head Unit software using the so-called “over-the-air” method (“OTA Updates”). Once the two free-of-charge OTA Updates have been consumed, you will be able to get updates of the maps in the vehicle’s navigation system and of the Head Unit software only (i) by accessing the following web page https://update.kia.com/EU/E1/Main or (ii) at a dealership.
