    Not anymore! <b>Charging times have significantly improved</b>. The Kia EV6 can charge from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes using a 350kW fast charger.

    On the contrary, EV batteries are built to last. Kia's lithium-ion batteries come with an 8-year warranty, reflecting their durability and our confidence in their ability to go the distance. <br> <br> Unlike many other brands, Kia's warranty includes a 70% battery capacity threshold - so if your electric battery's performance drops below that level within 8 years of purchase, we'll cover the cost of repairs or replacements. And because the battery warranty is transferable, it can help boost your car's resale value when it's time to move on.

    EV4 & EV5 technical data and range are expected targets, pending further development and homologation. All figures are subject to change. 

     

    (1)  Maximum charging speed

     

    In order to achieve the maximum charging speed, EV6 must be charged at an 800-volt electric vehicle charger that delivers at least 260kW of electricity. EV9 must use an 800 volt electric vehicle charger that delivers at least 210kW of electricity. The additionally added real-life range within 15 minutes is depending on different factors including the current state of charge of the battery, battery temperature, exterior weather conditions and the charger used. It is also defined by the individual driving style and energy consumption.

     

    (2)  Driving Range

     

    The range was determined according to the standardised EU measurement procedure (WLTP). The individual driving style and other factors, such as speed, outside temperature, topography and the use of electricity-consuming devices/units, have an influence on the real-life range and can possibly reduce it.

     

    EV/PHEV Lithium-Ion Polymer Battery Warranty

     

    The Lithium-Ion Polymer Battery warranty covers a minimum capacity for a period is 96 months (84 months for PHEV) or 100,000 miles from the date of first registration, whichever comes first.

    This warranty covers repairs needed to return the battery capacity to at least 70% of the original battery capacity. Where possible, the original EV/PHEV Battery components will be repaired and will be returned to the vehicle. If unrepairable, the EV/PHEV Battery will be replaced with either a new or remanufactured Lithium-Ion Polymer Battery. For full Kia warranty terms and exclusions click here
