The new Kia Ceed

(1) Drive Mode Select

Drive Mode Select (DMS) is available only for models with 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT).

(2) Intelligent Manual Transmission (iMT)

Engine-off coasting is available only on vehicles equipped with Intelligent Manual Transmission (iMT). The coasting function depends on the actual driving conditions.

(3) UVO CONNECT

Information and control service for your Kia; the Services will be available free of charge for a period of seven years commencing on the day the vehicle is sold to the first owner of the vehicle, i.e. the point in time the initial purchase agreement becomes effective, and may be subject to change during that period. Details of operation and terms of use can be obtained from your Kia partner and on kia.com. Smartphone with iOS or Android operating system and mobile phone contract with data option necessary incurring additional cost.

(4) Kia Live Services powered by TomTom

The services are free for 7 years after the first connection of navigation to the mobile network. If the first connection does not take place immediately after purchase, the duration is reduced by the time between purchase and first connection.

(5) TomTom Speed Camera Service

Most governments and local authorities agree that the TomTom Speed Camera service makes driving safer. TomTom complies with local legislation and where necessary adapts its practice.

(6) Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay™

The new Kia Ceed is compatible with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™. Android Auto™ is designed to work with Android phones running 5.0 (Lollipop) or higher. Apple CarPlay™ is available for iPhone 5 or newer models. Both systems feature voice control and allow the driver to keep their hands on the wheel and eyes on the road ahead at all times. Apple CarPlay™ is a trademark of Apple Inc. Android Auto™ and other marks are trademarks of Google Inc.

(7) 7-year map update

The program is only valid for new Kia vehicles purchased after February 28, 2013 with factory installed LG navigation devices. Labour costs may be incurred at the service point for the time available to perform the update. The 7-year map update program offers six map updates, as Kia vehicles are already shipped ex works with the latest map available. The warranty of the navigation system is not affected by this program. Kia is not responsible for the quality of the card data supplied by the card data supplier HERE.

(8) Clari-Fi™ technology

JBL® sound system comes with Clari Fi™ technology. Digital information gets lost when compressing files into MP3. Clari Fi™ technology helps to correct the lost high/low music tones and improves the music quality level.

(9) DRIVE WiSE technologies

DRIVE WiSE technologies are assistance systems and do not relieve the driver from his/her responsibility to safely operate the vehicle at any time. The driver still has to adapt his/her driving behaviour to his/her personal driving capabilities, to the legal requirements and to the overall road and traffic conditions. Drive Wise technologies are not designed to drive the vehicle autonomously. For further information, please refer to the owner’s manual.

(11) Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA)

Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) is an assistance system and does not relieve the driver from his/her responsibility to safely operate the vehicle at any time. The driver still has to adapt his/her driving behaviour to his/her personal driving capabilities, to the legal requirements and to the overall road and traffic conditions.
